This is Leqi Yang

“Someone who accidentally got trapped in the world of stages”

Hey there,

If you’ve clicked into this site—thank you.

This isn’t a résumé. And it’s definitely not a business site.

It’s more like… how should I put it?

A scattered collection of moments—shouting “stand by” backstage, picking up a mic under stage lights, trying to survive Finale without rage-quitting.

I’m Leqi Yang.
I’ve been an assistant director, a production manager, a photographer, a songwriter, and sometimes—just sometimes—a singer onstage.

This is my little archive about being present.

As A Production Manager

Every show has two scripts.

One is what the audience sees.

The other lives in my head—a color-coded schedule disguised as chaos.

I prefer the latter.

It’s chaos, yes—but with rhythm.

As A Singer

Funny thing is,

I didn’t meet the audience through a mic.
I met the mixing board first.

But on two nights,

I ended up center stage.

As A Music Creator

I write songs sometimes.
And bits of music for other things

commercials, orchestra, electronic, moods...

I used to think I was writing them for other people.

But maybe they were for me too.

They’re not released yet,
but I’d like to let them live here for now.

I’M LEQI YANG.

I shout, I run, I sing,
I occasionally make music that makes sense.

I regularly run around backstage with a cue sheet in hand.

I like broken things.
And fixing them until they feel like mine.

If you’re just passing through, no pressure.
We’re all busy rehearsing for whatever weird little show we’re in.
